So, I was up in SinSinNasty for the weekend to party with my sister and a couple of her friends. Sunday, before going home, I decided to visit the old stomping grounds.
For starters… THE ‘PIT IS BLUE NOW!!!
A few of the old hangouts were still open, such as Murphy’s Pub:

Uncle Woody’s is still open, although I believe it’s under new ownership:

…and hell, the Bearcat even looks to be a classy joint these days:

Calhoun Hall, where most of us met:

I almost took a walk through Piss Alley (there by DuBois bookstore), but decided against it.
I tried driving through campus, but apparently, they’ve completely redone the roads in there, and I ended up having to turn around and leave. If my stomach hadn’t been rebelling on me a bit from a weekend of hard drinking, I would’ve taken the foot tour, but it wasn’t in the cards today.
Otherwise, with the inclusion of a lot of chain restaurants, and some of the businesses changing names or their building façades, it was like seeing the place with new eyes all over again.
I’ll probably have to make another trip up there and take more time to look around, but it brought back a lot of good memories.
